Did you know? More than 60% of Greenville County residents are at risk for developing chronic diseases due to inactivity, poor nutrition choices + factors impacting mental health. The good news: It’s never too late to start your journey to a healthier lifestyle.

The even better news: Research shows that 80% of these chronic diseases can be prevented or reversed by exercising 30 minutes a day + 5 days a week, eating better, and managing stress.

And here to help you kickstart your health journey is Moveville. Moveville is a community-wide health initiative led by the YMCA of Greenville to help combat growing chronic health risks in Greenville County.

What is Moveville?

Moveville is an online community resource that combines health-related information (think: healthy recipes + beginner workouts) with fun challenges to help you take steps toward improving your health.

Here’s what you’ll get when you join Moveville:

  • Access to free information to improve your physical + mental health
  • Community challenge opportunities
  • Healthy recipes + shopping lists
  • List of free places to exercise in Greenville County

Bonus: It’s free to join Moveville, and open to all Greenville County residents who want to start taking steps to improve their health.

How to get involved:

The Moveville website has all the resources you need to get started on your health journey. And if you’re ready to go all-in, you can sign up for Moveville + join a challenge.

The Moveville challenges are a way to get active with your community and connect with others who are on their own health journey. Challenges will be announced to registered Moveville-ians via email with links to sign up for the challenge.
