First celebrated in the 1960s when a Rochester, NY family ate ice cream for breakfast during a blizzard, Ice Cream for Breakfast Day aims to “liven up the first weekend of February with something silly and sweet.”

Clare’s Creamery is the spot to celebrate. Both locations open at 9 a.m. with specials like donut sundaes (made with Scout’s Doughnuts in Overbrook Parlor Doughnuts at Parkins Mill), hot coffee from Bridge City Coffee, and breakfast-inspired ice cream flavors like:

  • Brown butter pancake
  • Strawberry Pop Tart
  • Lucky Charms
  • Espresso cookie dough
  • Dairy-free orange creamsicle

This is a can’t-miss event for me, so if you see me, please say hello.
