A public information session for The Inn at Altamont has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Greenville Event Center on Beverly Road. The previously-scheduled meeting was postponed due to needing a larger space for all of the people planning to attend.

The $60 million, 150,000-sqft, four-story, Marriott luxury boutique hotel — is planned for Paris Mountain + will boast views of northern Greenville County when it opens in 2030 (if all goes as planned).

Local developers, The Divine Group, are partnering with Marriott International on the property that will feature:

  • 150 rooms (at ~$275 per night)
  • A farm-to-table rooftop restaurant and bar
  • A resort-style pool
  • A spa
  • A banquet hall
  • An event lawn

Right now, the hotel is in the design phase. Developers want to annex the property so it’s in Travelers Rest + they hope that process will be complete by June so permitting can begin ahead of a 36-month construction timeline.

A petition against the development has garnered 10,000 signatures online.
