The architect says this will bring pedestrian activity to an area that doesn’t have much now.

A three-building development called 426 North Main has been proposed for the corner of North Main Street and Academy Street — the former Greenville City Municipal Court property + the American Legion property.

The designs feature:

  • Two 12-story mixed-use towers + one six-story residential building
  • 650 apartments
  • 20,000 sqft of commercial space
  • A public parking garage with 650-750 spaces
  • A public plaza

The development aims to be a “destination” on downtown’s north end.

“We are envisioning a lot of different uses like destination food and beverage and some high-end retail,” developer Kavneet Sethi with Green Property LLC told the Upstate Business Journal.

Developers unveiled the plans at the City of Greenville’s Project Preview Meeting on Tuesday, March 25 + plans to present initial plans to the city’s Design Review Board in May.
