Most people (including us) thought oyster season was in the middle of the summer but we actually found out that oysters are more watery and less flavorful during the summer months because that’s when they spawn (except Gulf oysters, they spawn year-round in the warm water). Colder months are when oysters have more of that firm texture + briny taste to it that everyone loves.

Since this is the prime time to indulge in seafood + shellfish, here’s a list of places that can help bring those delicacies to your taste buds from the shore.
