United Way of Greenville County founded Women United (formerly Women’s Leadership) 25 years ago. The goal: To help boost economic mobility for women in our community.

Fast forward to today, and Women United is still going strong — bringing the energy, expertise, and resources needed to make a difference right here in Greenville County.

If you’re looking to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from industry experts, and find out how you can empower the next generation, then you won’t want to miss the second annual Women United Summit, happening on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Greenville Convention Center.

Garbes’ latest book, “Essential Labor: Mothering as Social Change,” is a national bestseller and was named a “Best Book of 2022" by The New Yorker and NPR.

Attendees will also learn about signature initiatives like the Jobs to Careers Scholarship, a program that has helped more than 50 women in Greenville County move from paycheck-to-paycheck jobs to higher-paying careers. Watch the powerful story of one scholarship recipient here.
