Palmetto Seafood is bringing a seafood boil to Gather GVL

Gather will open its latest concept on Friday, July 21 in the former Resident Diner unit. This concept will feature fan favorites like fish and chips, seafood boil, and hush puppies, just to name a few.

Gather GVL is bringing the beach to you with its new concept, Palmetto Seafood. Owned and run by Chef Baileigh Reardon — the owner of Mama Mozzarella — this restaurant will be a “build your own seafood boil.” Think: crab, shrimp, crawfish, and other oceanic favorites.

Chef Baileigh has been cooking since high school and credits his grandmother and mom for his love of cooking. Although he has cooked in several cities, he says his experience as a junior sous chef in the Charleston restaurant scene rubbed off on him the most. Baileigh’s love of seafood comes from his experiences chef-ing on Isle of Palms, where he and his family would vacation, and share a seafood boil.

Palmetto Seafood is slated to open Friday, July 21. We can’t wait to try the fish and chips with tartar sauce and hush puppies, and pretend we’re on the beach while we do.
