Automatic Taco, 147 Welborn St., Greenville | Recommended by Sarah G. | “Auto Taco always uses fresh avocados, and they use the perfect ratio of salt, lime, and plenty of fresh cilantro.”

Sofritos, 1757 Woodruff Rd., Ste. A, Greenville | Recommended by Dawn M. | “The guacamole at Sofritos is authentic and fresh, not over-mixed.

La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant, 1 Market Point Dr., Greenville | Recommended by Kim M. | “La Parilla makes fresh guac in front of you.”

Farmhouse Tacos, 164 S. Main St., Travelers Rest | Recommended by Sarah B. | “Farmhouse’s guac is the perfect mix of avocado with other vegetables and is seasoned well, so it doesn’t taste like plain avocado.”

Viva Villa Mexican Grill, Multiple locations | Recommended by Zac S. | “Viva Villa’s chunky guac is fire.”

Papa’s and Beer, Multiple locations | Recommended by Brady G. | “Papas and Beer’s guac made tableside is hard to beat for freshness and flavor.” — Brady G.

Stephanie’s pick: Willy Taco, Multiple locations | It’s no secret that I love Willy Taco, but their guac is something I look forward to every time I go. Pro tip: You can order an app that includes salsa, queso, and guac.

Danielle’s pick: Garcia’s Cuisine, 1003 N. Old Laurens Rd., Fountain Inn | I found myself at Garcia’s when I hit VisitGreenvilleSC’s Taco Trail, and now it’s my go-to spot for Mexican food (including guacamole).

Honorable mentions

Dave A.'s kitchen, a home in Simpsonville | Recommended by Dave A. | “The reason it’s the best is because I DON’T put chopped tomato in mine. I include Applewood smoked salt in place of regular salt, and I make my own tortilla chips for a great bite.” We’ll be waiting for our invite, Dave.
