Editor’s Pick: The Dating Deck

One Greenvillian was sick of the dating apps, so she took matters into her own hands creating a new product to make connections.

My friend Rebecca is single in Greenville, and she’s sick of swiping on the apps, so she created The Dating Deck — 10 business-card-sized cards, each with a compliment on the front and space to share your number on the back.

“It’s a little bit less tacky than leaving a receipt paper on someone’s window or a scrap of paper,” she explains. “It’s cute, it’s fun — it’s like, ‘hey, I want you to have this. I hope it makes your day better,’ and if they’re not interested, it’s still just a compliment.”

So far, Rebecca has only handed out one of her own cards, but the recipient loved it. Unfortunately, he lives in another state — but we’re still calling it a 100% success rate.

Valentine’s Day weekend felt like the perfect time to let you know about this new Greenville-made product that spreads kindness and compliments, all in the name of finding the one.
