1,163 applications were submitted for Artisphere (happening May 11 – 13) this year400% growth since first year in 2005. Out of those 1,163 applications, 135 artists will be showing their work during the big weekend. And out of those 135 artists, 35 are brand new this year + 15 artists are local to our area. TD Bank and the Jean T and Heyward G Pelham Foundation announced yesterday that they will cover all booth fees for the 15 local artists participating in Artisphere this year. 👏🏼

So what’s new this year?

🎨 Chicago street artist/muralist/painter Nate Baronowski

👧🏽 Furman’s Kidsphere South (led by DRUM Percussion Studio and The Logos Theatre) which includes giant puppets + drum making

Michelin Demo Row: 5 ongoing live demonstrations including The Heirloom Companies (from Spartanburg)

📝 13 new activities in Art Lab including a writing lab

🥂 New location for kickoff event: Opening Night Gala

📱 Expanded merchandise line starts April 19 online
