The ultimate South Carolina bucket list

You get a lil’ bit of everything living in South Carolinabeaches, mountains, cities, small towns. You name it, you can probably find it somewhere in the state. Except skyscrapers. We don’t have too many of those.

The State put together a list of 50 things to do in S.C. before you die, and here are five of our personal must-dos from the list – many of which you can do right here in GVL:

  • Take a tour of the State House while it’s in session (Jan. – May) + see how our state government works
  • See the Angel Oak on Johns Island (it’s more than 400 years old – maybe we can soak up some wisdom)
  • Satisfy your Southern sweet tooth at the Summerville Sweet Tea Festival
  • Skydive with Sky Dive Carolina in Chester, S.C.
  • See the Hunley submarine at the Warren Lasch Conservation Center in North Charleston

Click here for the full list + see how many you’ve already crossed off.
