You get a lil’ bit of everything living in South Carolina – beaches, mountains, cities, small towns. You name it, you can probably find it somewhere in the state. Except skyscrapers. We don’t have too many of those.
The State put together a list of 50 things to do in S.C. before you die, and here are five of our personal must-dos from the list – many of which you can do right here in GVL:
- Take a tour of the State House while it’s in session (Jan. – May) + see how our state government works
- See the Angel Oak on Johns Island (it’s more than 400 years old – maybe we can soak up some wisdom)
- Satisfy your Southern sweet tooth at the Summerville Sweet Tea Festival
- Skydive with Sky Dive Carolina in Chester, S.C.
- See the Hunley submarine at the Warren Lasch Conservation Center in North Charleston
