If your child isn’t playing sports this spring, they could be missing out on more than a game. Getting active helps kids build confidence, develop healthy habits, and manage stress.

The YMCA of Greenville’s spring sports registration is open now through Monday, March 31, with exciting options like flag football, T-ball, volleyball, and more. Offered at several locations across the county, all leagues are developmental and designed to meet your child’s skill level.

Here’s how you can help your child thrive on (and off) the field:

Focus on fun, not the outcome

Encourage your child to enjoy the game. Winning is great, but it’s not the only thing that matters.

Celebrate small wins

Praise effort and growth, not just the final score.

Encourage teamwork

Help them see how working together builds lasting friendships + cooperation.

Practices start Monday, April 28, with games running Saturday, May 10 through Saturday, June 14.
