The new Rise Bakery officially opens on Sat., March 5 in the Village of West Greenville. Get your fresh bread fix every week, Wed.-Sat. from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

Quite frankly, we couldn’t wait until then, so we stopped by a few days early to catch a glimpse of the new space and to get our hands on as many baked goods as possible. 🥐

Read on for what to know before attending the grand opening + snagging that pastry you’ve been craving.

Come hungry + take in the smells

Walking into Rise, it’s not just the morning light that greets you. You’re immediately immersed in the smell of naturally leavened breads (bread that rises through fermentation instead of packaged yeast, like sourdough) and freshly baked artisan pastries. Savor it. You’ll come for one croissant and leave with three, like us.

Get your bearings

Peep the menu on the left side of the shop before making your way down the glass-encased, wood-wrapped counter, stocked with french baguettes, cardamom buns, cinnamon rolls, and sourdough chocolate chip cookies. Quench your thirst with a cold drink in the cooler under the menu, or hot Due South coffee on the opposite wall.

Stay a while or scram with your stash

While the layout is conducive to those interested in taking their pastries to-go, feel free to snag a bar-height chair by the windows for you to enjoy your chocolate croissant if you just can’t wait.
