Okay, okay, in 2018 we’re all going to work on being healthier and pick up a new hobby (or maybe you’re more of a realist than the rest of us).

But we’re also making it a goal to cross some things off our GVL bucket list in the new year – whether you’ve lived here your whole life or you’re new in town, here are a few Greenville-style New Years resolutions.

🚲 You can still get your fitness on: Walk or bike the Swamp Rabbit Trail once a week

🎨 Visit all of our museums (and there are a lot)

📖 Two birds with one stone: become well-read by using GVL’s libraries (Hughes Main Library even has historical and genealogical records for y’all history buffs)

👩‍ Mentor through local orgs like the Frazee Center + Pendleton Place

🌳 Get into nature by hiking + canoeing/kayaking at Paris Mountain

Rent a pontoon boat on Lake Hartwell

🗺 Venture off Main St. and find hidden gems in Simpsonville/Fountain Inn, Travelers Rest or Greer

☕ Find a new go-to coffee shop (we recommend Exchange Co. + Bex Cafe)

🐶 Adopt or foster an animal who needs a home

🚌 Try a new mode of travel: use GVL’s trolley + bus system or bike share program (or even learn how to skateboard)

🤝 Find the perfect volunteer match

🍳 Learn how to cook something new at The Cook’s Station or Swamp Rabbit Cafe

What are your GVL resolutions? Let us know + in a few months we’ll check back in to see if you’re still sticking to them (just kidding – this is a no judgement zone).
