Local companies, vying for “the wall” contract

It’s only been a couple of weeks since President Trump requested quotes for the first section of the proposed wall to be placed along the Mexican border and the deadline was yesterday. Hundreds of companies have thrown their hat in the ring, two of which are South Carolina contractors–one based in Summerville and the other right here in Greenville. The entire project has an estimated price tag of $12-25 billion.

However, Indivisible Charleston feels that there could be backlash for businesses in South Carolina who support (and particularly those who take part in) the wall being built. The group picketed outside Republican Senator Lindsey Graham’s South Carolina office on Tuesday.
