Potential trail could connect Haywood Mall area to Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail via Greenville Journal

The Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail (SRT) has been undergoing a lot of growth lately, and City Council is considering, even more, potential route additions, including a mile-long trail from the SRT to Haywood Mall, reaching those who live in nearby apartments.

A few other possible trails being considered:

  • A connecting route from Cleveland Park to the planned bridge over Laurens Road, providing alternate routes to Cleveland Park
  • A trail connecting the SRT on Laurens Road to Pelham Road with up to 3 pedestrian bridges.

The potential new trails would require engineering + feasibility studies before construction could begin, but City Council wants to keep the SRT growth consistent, aiming to add 1 – 2 miles per year.
