If you’ve been on an end-of-the-year cleaning and organizing spree, you probably have a pile of gently used clothing + housewares that you’re not sure what to do with. Instead of selling it online, head over and make a tax-deductible donation to The Nearly New Shop, Junior League of Greenville’s resale store. (And while you’re there, do some tax-free shopping for yourself.)

Located at 118 Greenacre Rd. (open Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m.-5 p.m.), The Nearly New Shop provides an outlet for the Upstate community to purchase low-cost, quality clothing, furniture + household goods. Bonus: Every purchase supports JLG’S mission to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve the community. Read: You can shop + support your community at the same time.

Some accepted items customers can donate to the store include:

  • New or gently used clothing
  • Jewelry
  • Shoes
  • Linens
  • Children’s toys
  • Seasonal items
  • Luggage
  • Books
  • Furniture
  • Small appliances

Donations may be dropped off Mon.-Sat. from 10 a.m.-4:45 p.m. See a complete list of what can (and cannot) be accepted here.

The store relies on a few employees + JLG members who donate their time to keep the shop up and running. Fun fact: ~1,500 customers come through the store each month.
