15 days. That’s all the time it takes to master the foundations of business + fundamentals of entrepreneurship, according to Furman Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The institute’s Business and Entrepreneurship Boot Camp is back (virtually) this summer, June 8-26, for students and recent graduates ready to earn a Certificate in Business + Entrepreneurship in this three-week crash course. A diverse group of 16 students from five different universities participated in last year’s inaugural boot camp, and Furman expects ~40 participants this year. Applications are open + space is limited. Cost is $3,000; scholarships available.

Top professors and local leaders in the fields of marketing, finance + communications will help participants build their entrepreneurial skill set + learn about topics like:

  • Accounting
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Business Analytics
  • Business Law
  • Career Planning
  • Excel Modeling
  • Presentation Skills

In addition to learning, students have the chance to earn a paid internship. At the end of the boot camp, 10 students will be placed in paid internships with NEXT member companies, thanks to Furman’s partnerships with the City of Greenville and NEXT SC.

Three success stories

These three students found success in ways that would not have been possible without the connections + experiences of participating in the 2019 Summer Business Entrepreneurship Boot Camp:
