Horror lovers, this one’s for you. “Perfidia,” an original horror film shot in the Upstate, will premiere at Camelot Cinemas next Tuesday, June 11 at 7 p.m.

Created by Other Vision Studios + directed by Collins Abbott White, the film follows Sarah (played by Elisabeth Martin Hill) who returns to her family home and, as she recalls memories of life with her sister Katie (played by Cat Borovicka), she realizes she’s done sinister things to achieve her goals and is stalked by a ghostly figure. Will she be able to outrun her past? Only time — and attending the screening — will tell.

“Perfidia” was shot over three days in Travelers Rest and Taylors + each member of the cast and crew is from the Upstate.

“There are a lot of talented people working in film in the Upstate,” Whit explains, saying he expects we’ll see more quality films come to the area.
