Camperdown

Camperdown is a new development located in the heart of downtown being built by Centennial American Properties on the old Greenville News office and printer building site that began construction in early 2016. Once complete in late 2019, this $200 million four acre development bounded by Main, Broad, Falls, and Murphy Streets will consist of numerous mixed use buildings and amenities.

These include an 11 story office and condo building with 150,000 square feet of office space and 18 condos, a seven story 140 room AC by Marriott hotel, and a 15 story apartment building with 250 units.

Also included is a three story underground parking garage with 900 spaces, a centrally located pedestrian friendly plaza area built at street level on top of the parking garage, and 70,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. A new office building for the Greenville News has already been built and completed at the intersection of Main and Broad Streets as part of the overall project.

The Greene

The Greene is a new five story apartment community being built by Woodfield Investments on the old Pendleton Street Baptist Church site along South Main Street in the West End. This three acre development boarded by South Main Street, Perry Avenue, Rhett Street, and Saint Andrews Episcopal Church will consists of 272 units, a 423 space interior parking garage, and two retail spaces along South Main Street.

Also included are the usual downtown luxury apartment amenities including two courtyards, a swimming pool, rooftop terrace, and fitness/yoga room. Construction started in mid 2016 with completion expected in late 2018.

Hyatt Place

Another new hotel is coming downtown. Located along Broad Street between Main and Calvin Streets, Hyatt Place which is being built by Tara Investment Group will be six stories tall, have 130 rooms, and a three level 117 space parking garage upon completion.

Featured amenities include a 2,149 square foot meeting room, board room, basement-level pool and fitness center, a coffee and cocktails bar, a grab-and-go quick bite concept, and hot breakfast bar. Construction started in late 2016 with completion slated for mid-late 2018.

Homewood Suites

Homewood Suites which is being developed by Parks Hospitality Group and located directly across from Fluor Field at the intersection of North Markley and South Main Streets is a new 85,312 square foot hotel.

Once complete, it will consist of 150 rooms, a two level 98 space parking garage, and four retail spaces along South Main Street totaling 7,288 square feet. Construction started in early 2017 with completion slated for late 2018.
