Welcome to the Upstate. The Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) announced Tesla will open a regional vehicle parts distribution center in Fountain Inn + plans to open early this year. This will be its first facility in SC.

Calling Fox Hill Business Park‘s building three — located at 189 Milacron Dr., Fountain Inn —home, Tesla plans to take over its entire 251,100 sqft and will focus solely on distributing vehicle parts (not manufacturing).

The Sudler Companies — developers of the business park — also partnered with Tesla in on a similar project in Tampa, FL in 2023.

Kevin Landmesser — GADC’s interim CEO — says this addition to Greenville county can “help raise income levels for our area and create quality jobs.”

The total investment (including the number of jobs that will be created) has not been announced, but we’ll keep you posted.
