Here’s what’s happening with the pink church on Woodside Avenue

We sat down with Ron Rallis for an exclusive look at plans for the property, which has sat defunct for years.

The pink church on Woodside (not far from Woodside Mill) has sat defunct for years, and now we know what’s going in its place — kind of.

“It’s going to be a destination,” said developer Ron Rallis, who called this development a passion project. “But nothing’s set in stone other than it being an amazing park.”

Here’s what we know:

  • The main sanctuary and parsonage will be preserved, but the additions at the back of the church will be demolished (details for the spaces to come).
  • The Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail will extend to the property.
  • The property will be entirely fenced in to create a safe space for families.

The plans are being submitted to Greenville County to rezone the property.

Rallis wants the development to feature good food, turf for the kids to run around, a big screen for movie nights, and a water element (think: splash pad). As for the rest, he wants to hear from you. That’s why he turned to GVLtoday.

You know what to do. Share your feedback and dream elements for this park.
