From saunas to red light and Pilates to plunges, Greenville’s wellness scene is heating up (sometimes literally). Whether you’re looking to feel stronger, sleep better, or simply slow down, here’s what’s trending in the wellness space and where you can try it.

Contrast therapy

What it is: Alternating between heat (like a sauna) and cold (like a plunge) exposures to stimulate circulation, reduce inflammation, and enhance recovery

Why it’s trending: Enhances athletic performance + helps with pain relief and overall wellness

Where to find it:

  • Evolve | Brand-new at The Commons, this wellness studio offers contrast therapy, sauna, red light, massage, and fitness classes.
  • SWTHZ | Also new to the scene, this popular chain will open on Augusta Road soon with founding memberships available now.
  • Sauna House | This wellness bathhouse has become a local’s hideout in its first year open, offering a guided hot-cold-relax circuit with saunas, cold plunges, and heated lounges — all in a phone-free, community-focused space that encourages connection and digital detox.

Red light therapy

What it is: Specific light wavelengths to boost collagen, reduce inflammation, and speed healing

Why it’s trending: Non-invasive anti-aging, pain relief, and skin rejuvenation benefits

Where to find it:

  • LaterzaMD | In addition to offering LightStim Red Light Therapy, this new med spa will open at The Commons in early 2026, offering laser treatments, injectables, fillers, trilift, and sexual health services.
  • Alma Rose Med Spa | This spa is not limited to red light. It uses LightStim LED Light Therapy, which utilizes specific wavelengths of light to promote skin rejuvenation, enhance circulation, and accelerate healing.
  • Mountain Movement | Different but complementary to red light therapy is this Super Pulsed Laser Therapy, which penetrates deep, reaching the muscles and nerves that are stuck in inflammation or dysfunction, and it claims to be the first-of-its-kind in Greenville.
