Calling all theater lovers. If you want to see great shows without breaking the bank, we’re here to let you in on a little secret. Enter: The ArtCard from the Metropolitan Arts Council (MAC), your ticket into local venues for less.

What we tried:

We recently visited MAC on Augusta Street downtown to see how it works. With a $50 donation, we received an ArtCard, giving us access to BOGO tickets at seven of Greenville’s top arts venues, including:

Then, we used our ArtCard to see “Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert” at the Peace Center. We loved getting a deal on such a fun show.

How you can experience this:

You can purchase the ArtCard in person or online. Be sure to call each participating venue ahead of time, as some only offer the BOGO deal for select shows.

To redeem the BOGO perk, bring your ArtCard to your selected venue’s box office when buying tickets. They’ll also note the venue name on your card to keep track of your purchase.

What not to miss:

The ArtCard is valid for a full year from the date of your donation, and you can use it once at each of the seven participating venues. It’s a great way to experience Greenville’s vibrant performing arts scene, and in just two uses, the card practically pays for itself.

What we’re still talking about:

The ArtCard not only saves you money, but also supports Greenville’s arts community. Your donation to MAC helps fund local artists, arts organizations, educational programs, and more.
