Holiday Happenings (Dec. 2 – 10) is Greenville kicked up a notch for the holidays: find carolers in the streets, festive food, and holiday shopping from participating stores (so you can avoid the mall and shop local).

Take a ceramic ornament-making class at the Art Cellar on Dec. 3, grab a pair of jeans on sale from Beija-Flor on Dec. 6 + hear the BJU Lyric Choir perform outside M. Judson on Dec. 8 – you’re guaranteed to be in the holiday spirit by the weekend. Santa himself will be at Mast General Store on Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Dec. 3 from 12 – 4 p.m. if you need that extra push to get hyped for Christmas.🎅🏼

A few other things you’ll definitely want to mark off your list (after checking it twice):

  • The Greenville Poinsettia Christmas Parade is a must-do. Gather with the crowd on Dec. 2 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. + have some hot chocolate and Krispy Kreme donuts thanks to the Rotary Club of North Greenville (find them at the tents at ONE City Plaza + the Peace Center Plaza + at carts going up and down Main so you don’t lose your viewing spot.)
  • Get caricatures made on Dec. 9 at Spill the Beans or NOMA Square. (An easy gift for kids: get their portrait drawn + keep the result a secret until Christmas morning.)
  • ONE City Plaza, Graham Plaza, West End Plaza + NOMA Square will be decked out with holiday decorationsperfect for some family photos or to take holiday visitors – and some plazas will have fire pits to sip lattes.
  • 50+ musical performances are taking place during the second weekend, including My Girl, My Whiskey + Me, Glow Lyric Carolers + Breanna Jean.

Worried about parking downtown? The City is offering a $2 parking rate for ONE City Plaza, Poinsett Garage, Spring Street Garage + West End Lot from Dec. 8 – 10. Or hop on Santa’s sleigh (roaming Main St for the holiday season) or a horse-drawn carriage to see the sights.
