Next week is American Craft Beer Week (Mon., May 16-Sun., May 22), celebrating the creativity of small and independent breweries. What better way to do just that than with seven local beers from seven local breweries in seven days?

Greenville is lucky to have a long list of great places to grab a local brew, so to help us narrow it down, we asked you, our trusty readers, for your favorite spots and we narrowed it down to seven.

Monday

Iron Hill Brewery | 741 Haywood Rd.

Most local breweries are closed on Mondays, which made Iron Hill the perfect spot to kick off this challenge.
Danielle’s pick: Brambleberry Farmhouse Ale
This light-bodied and refreshing beer has citrus fruit flavors and a burst of raspberry.
Kyle’s pick: Chewie IPA
This New England IPA has notes of pineapple, mango + citrus from American hops.

Tuesday

Double Stamp Brewery | 819 Laurens Rd.

Bring your pup on Tuesday and your first pint is $5.
Danielle’s pick: Lace’s Out
Each version of this Belgian style witbier uses a different fruit.
Kyle’s pick: Show Me the Money
Jerry Maguire would approve of this easy-drinking pilsner.

Wednesday

Southernside Brewing Co. | 25 Delano Dr. Unit D

Your city editors were feeling the same vibe for their mid-week picks.
Danielle’s pick: Cash Rules
A beer walks into an ice cream shop for this perfectly-sweet vanilla cream ale.
Kyle’s pick: Unity Park Ale
This cream ale was light, crisp + refreshing, and couldn’t resist the nod to its neighbor with a big opening next week.

Thursday

Birds Fly South Ale Project | 1320 Hampton Ave.

BFS also known as DFS (Danielle flies solo). But don’t worry, I still tried two brews to share with you.
Danielle’s pick: Run the World
This Belgian blonde strong ale was brewed entirely by women for International Women’s Day.
Danielle’s second pick: Graffiti Heart
This red sour ale tasted a bit like wine, probably because it takes a year and a half to make.

Friday

Pangea Brewing | 115 Welborn St.

Every Friday, brewers experiment with a cask of their beer by adding something special, known as Funky Friday.
Danielle’s pick: Give em the Razzle Dazzle
This light and refreshing sour was the perfect drink on a hot afternoon.
Kyle’s pick: Needle in a Pineapple Pile
In this “Funky Friday” brew, this batch of Needle in a Grain Stack was dosed with a whole fresh pineapple.

Saturday

Fireforge Crafted Beer | 311 E Washington St.

City Editor Danielle tapped in her husband to finish out the week.
Danielle’s pick: Leisure Services
This is a fruity, light + flavorful German-style ale.
Danielle’s husband Clay’s pick: Punch Up at a Cotillion
More than your average cream ale, this brew is packed with berry-like flavors.

Sunday

Yee-Haw Brewing Co. | 307 E McBee Ave. Ste. C

Though not born in Greenville, Yee-Haw calls its downtown location the “innovation lab” because they test new flavors + beer recipes here.
Danielle’s pick: Pineapple Seltzer
For the folks who don’t drink beer, check out this seltzer made right here in GVL.
Clay’s pick: Peach Mint Wit
This refreshing wheat beer has (you guessed it) notes of peach + mint, and it’s delicious.
