The air is finally crisp(ier) and the Upstate foliage is creating a colorful landscape to remind us to get outdoors.

YMCA of Greenville has several opportunities for locals, families + even corporate teams to enjoy fall outdoors with the guidance of experienced staff members, including programs at the Y’s Camp Greenville and the Hollingsworth Outdoor Center:

Women’s Weekend | Oct. 25-27

What would you give for a little peace and quiet? Here’s your chance to run away to the mountains… for a couple of days. Participants get to fill their weekend as relaxed as they’d like to be, choose between active, creative or fitness experiences for the perfect weekend. $130 for YMCA member, $145 for non-members.

Fall Spectrum Family Camp | Nov. 1-3

This camp was created for families who have a member on the Autism Spectrum. A team of well-trained staff members will help families experience a fun weekend filled with activities like archery, hiking, campfires + crafts. Activities are sensory-friendly and menus are designed to accommodate various diets. $95 per person, scholarships available upon request.

Hollingsworth Outdoor Center

If you don’t want to drive to the mountains but you want to experience the outdoors, the Hollingsworth Outdoor Center in Simpsonville may be just right for you/your group. The center provides opportunities for team-building activities and offers courses on survival skills and environmental education. Groups can camp overnight or use the facility for retreats.

Camp Greenville Retreats & Team Building

If you *do* want to travel up the Blue Ridge Mountains for a retreat, the group services team at Camp Greenville can help design the right program for your organization. Work on communication or problem-solving activities and participate in outdoor activities like hiking and rock climbing. Lessons can be taken back to the office to integrate into your team’s daily work.
