It’s 2020. By now, we all know everybody is different, and every *body* is different. But it’s still true that physical exercise is important for our health. It helps everything from lowering risk of chronic diseases to improving mental health. We also know how tough it is to drag ourselves to the gym after a long day’s work (speaking from experience here).

That’s why the YMCA of Greenville is launching its new signature health and wellness program: Flex Fit, included with membership to the Y.

The program is designed by the Y’s team of highly-credentialed fitness experts to be flexible enough to work for everyone – from absolute beginners to seasoned athletes. But it’s not a one-program-fits-all approach, either. There are levels.

Flex Fit has three levels:

  • Emerge (think: beginners and health-seekers)
  • Elevate (think: active folks who want to get stronger)
  • Excel (think: those who are prepping for an Ironman or practicing Olympic weightlifting)

Within those levels, there are Flex Fit tracks designed around different health + wellness outcomes. The intensity of the tracks can be scaled to any ability, and where you participate is flexible – any of the workouts can be done solo or in a group setting. And the Flex Fit experts have experience in everything from endurance sports and body building to healthy weight loss and Parkinson’s Disease management – so everything is customizable.

Flex Fit is included in all YMCA of Greenville memberships – if you’re not already a Y member, you can join here, or if you are a member, you can sign up for Flex Fit here. Find more details on the 3 levels of Flex Fit here.
