Hot Donut Holes at Rocket Surgery in Travelers Rest

RocketSurgeryBrunch

Rocket Surgery Brunch

by: @EatDrinkCarolinas

Don’t we seem donut crazy right now? And though some I think don’t live up to the hype, the Hot Donut Holes on the brunch menu at Rocket Surgery sure do. They are DIVINE, served hot, fried, rolled in cinnamon sugar and glazed with maple bacon.

I am known for complaining about bacon in sweets on restaurant menus but this dish is an exception to my griping. The best way to describe a bite of these “holes” (that are really the size of tennis balls) is by imagining the perfect half donut/half beignet, doughy and delish and perfectly brunch worthy. Pair them with the always on point cocktails at Rocket Surgery and count yourself a happy camper. This order is sitting at the top of my #BucketDish for sure this spring.
