How Gateway is rewriting the narrative for locals living with mental illness

Did you know that one in four adults in the Upstate are living with mental illness?

In Greenville, Gateway takes a unique Clubhouse approach, providing a community center that serves as a hub for opportunities + activities available to all its members (yes, members — not clients or patients).

Gateway members get a full year of holistic recovery services for about the same cost as a two-week psychiatric hospital stay. Gateway also helps its members pursue GEDs, and over 45% are employed in our community.

Locals can support Gateway’s mission at this year’s Beautiful Music for Beautiful Minds event, happening Friday, Sept. 29 at The Annex at Judson Mill.
