1,500+. That’s how many individuals that Meals on Wheels of Greenville serves each day. 5 days/week delivery returned on July 12, which means Meals on Wheels needs volunteers now more than ever.

With just a small investment of time (read: a lunch break), volunteers can have a lasting impact on the lives of up to 15 homebound individuals per route each day.

Volunteer opportunities:

  • Packaging meals
  • Delivering meals
  • Helping with special events
  • Distributing meals to delivery volunteers
  • New: Distributing shelf-stable emergency meal kits on Sat., Aug. 28, 10 a.m.-noon (volunteer)

To help volunteers transition into the program smoothly, Meals on Wheels hosts a ~30 minute virtual New Volunteer Orientation every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. that covers Meals on Wheels’ mission, volunteer opportunities, best practices, and more. Ⓟ
