Nominations opened this week for the Fourth Annual Upstate Music Awards, an annual celebration of Upstate-based musicians + artists that perform and record original music.

Like the music awards shows you watch on TV, the producers, studio engineers, photographers, videographers, and visual artists who work with them will also be recognized.

All contestants must live and work within the 864 area code + they must perform 75% or more original material to participate.

Keep these important dates in mind as you support your favorite Upstate musicians:

  • Now-Friday, Dec. 16 | The nomination deadline
  • Monday, Jan. 16-Friday, Feb. 10 | Voting
  • Late February 2023 | Finalists announced

We’ll find out who wins at the main event, details to be announced. One thing we do know is that we can’t wait for the local musical performances.
