Within the last year, more than 200,000 unique jobs were posted in the Upstate by more than 10,000 employers. In response to local employers’ economic momentum, Upstate S.C. Alliance created Move Up Upstate S.C.

Move Up promotes job opportunities + quality of life across the Upstate. The initiative targets cross-industry audiences from established professionals to college students. Goals of the initiative? Simply put, they aim to attract and retain top talent.

Looking for a job? Here’s the industries they list and how many jobs in each category (as of May 2019):

  • Accounting + financing (676 jobs)
  • Biotechnology + healthcare (887 jobs)
  • Construction + architecture + engineering (79 jobs)
  • Education (740 jobs)
  • Human resources (62 jobs)
  • IT + tech + development (422 jobs)
  • Manufacturing production + assembly (1,763 jobs)
  • Marketing + advertising + sales (1,608 jobs)

That is 6,237 available positions right here at home – with a 3% unemployment rate in the area, down from 3.6% as the national average – it’s an employees’ market. 🔥
