Did you know October is Try Transit Month in Greenville? Greenlink will be celebrating all month with various events to introduce Greenlink + its services to the greater community.

Name the Bus Contest | Greenlink wants riders to help name the busses. You can submit your name ideas by Sept. 26. A selection committee will choose 12 names to display on the digital destination signs on the buses operating on Oct.1. Winners will receive free 31-Day Unlimited Ride Passes. Past winning names include Big Green Transit Machine + Gary Busy.

Fare Free Day | Free bus rides all day long on Oct. 8.

National Savings Day | The TouchPass electronic ticketing system — which allows customers to pay bus fares using the TouchPass app or a reloadable smartcard — is changing its name to Umo Pass. On Oct. 12, you can learn how Greenlink’s Umo app can help save money on bus fares.

Network with Citizens Transit Academy Alumni | On Oct. 13, ride the bus + grab a drink with Citizens Transit Academy alumni. Applications to join the 2022 CTA are now available and due by Sun., Oct. 31.

Decorate a Bus | On Oct. 16, you can bring your child to decorate their own bus at the Decorate a Bus family-friendly arts + crafts event.

Try Transit Bingo | Complete a row, column, or diagonal + submit your bingo card by Sun., Oct. 31. to qualify for a prize drawing.
