Proposed changes for Greenville, SC’s trolley network

Greenville’s trolley network could see some changes in its future that could bring accessibility to new destinations like Unity Park.

Greenlink Transit is proposing to remove certain stops from service, adjust service to some stops, and add new stops by this summer. Below is a breakdown of the proposed changes, but you can see them in detail here.

Remove Route 904: Attractions

This seasonal route (runs from April through September) currently has 16 stops. The route covers parts of Main Street, Stone Avenue, North Academy Street, Buncombe Street, South Richardson Street, and Laurens Road.

Reduced service to some stops on Route 902: South Main

There are nine stops that will only be served by Route 902. These stops include the Peace Center and the Reedy River.

New stops on Route 903: West End

This route, which also runs from April-September, will serve five stops that currently exist as bus or trolley stops. One new stop is proposed for Welborn Street and the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
