Hang on tight — the gates of the NC Mountain State Fair swing wide open this Friday, Sept. 5.

Through Sunday, Sept. 14, the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher, NC comes alive for the annual fair: a celebration of Appalachian culture, community, fried foods, and all things family fun.

For $9 for adults (just $5 for kids and seniors), fair-goers can expect:

  • Toe-tapping tunes from the Mountain Music Festival
  • High-speed pig racing + hilarity at “Wild Beal’s Speedway”
