Earlier this month, I attended the Greenville County Housing Forum on “Missing Middle Housing” and I just wanted to share an idea that I heard during a presentation by John Hunt from MarketNsight: tiny condos.
These <1000 sq. ft. spaces are popping up in Seattle, Nashville, and Atlanta + selling for a price range that fits the bill for first-time home buyers and baby boomers wanting to move closer to downtown. Could this work in GVL?
Townhouses located east of downtown Atlanta called “The Moderns” have floorplans priced in the mid-$200K range (~$122 per square foot).
Lakeview Green, located in the heart of downtown Birmingham, AL, has 30 luxury condo flats with layouts as small as 552 sq. ft. (pictured above) and priced around $300K.
Would you be willing to live in a space with smaller square footage for a better location?
