The Big Dog Show coming to Greenville, SC

Watching the Wings of the City fly away back in October may have been ruff, but the good news is, there’s a new traveling art exhibit coming to town very soon.

Enter: The Big Dog Show. The City of Greenville recently announced this new exhibit, featuring 20 8x10ft corten steel dog sculptures, will be arriving in Greenville in March.

Created by sculptor Dale Rogers, the series of sculptures are meant to look like “the American dog,” and will be located along Main Street and by the Cleveland Park Stables.

Does corten steel sound familiar? It should, because artist Dale Rogers is the same sculptor who created this corten steel rabbit, which won first place in the 3D category during last year’s Artisphere festival and will find its permanent home along the SRT in Unity Park.

The traveling sculptures have been exhibited in 22 shows across 11 different states, and we are so excited to give a paw-some welcome to these not so furry friends when they arrive in March.
