If you frequent Twitter, you may have noticed a trend that caught on last week asking users to tell accounts that they’re from an area without using the area’s name. If you haven’t seen the trend, it looks a little like this. ⬇️

Responses to the tweets typically mention landmarks or other qualities that are unique to the location (and may not be understood by those who aren’t from the area).

We wanted to get in on the fun too, so we asked our followers to tell us they’re from Greenville without actually telling us they’re from Greenville. And, the responses were so great – and true to GVL – that we had to share them with y’all. Here are some of our favorite answers:

“It’s Greenvul, not Greenville.” – Julie B.

“Had my picture taken in front of ‘the’ tree.” – Valerie K. N.

“It’s the Bi-Lo Center not The Well.” Maghen L.

“Best tap water in the country.” Kings R.

“The @gcschools singing Christmas tree at Greenville Memorial Auditorium.” – Niki D. M.

“I’m telling you, the ballpark looks just like Fenway!” – @itsjdew

“Wanna go find all the mice?” – @carmennmichelle

“Do you wanna check out our bridge?” – @juanlooneyrojas

“Chocolate Shoppe cookies forever.” – @emily.d.lordo

“It’s pronounced MAC-Bee, not McBee.” – @lewoodside

“I don’t drive on Woodruff Road after October and until February.” – @jkjayiii

“Steak dinner at the Peddler after watching the Paladins.” – @prabon71

“I fully intended to run the swamp rabbit trail, but ended up stuffing my face at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe.” – @gamlovestagram

“Christmas season begins when the leg lamp shows up in the window of the house on McDaniel.” – @emily.d.lordo

“There’s no milk and bread 🍞 and it’s sleeting 💦 – @tolsue

“Greenville grrrowl and the Greenville braves.” – @elizoli_

And then we have our personal favorite:

“I met my wife at Taco Casa.” – @jwentz103
