Furman University unveiled $40 million of renovations coming to Timmons Arena.

These upgrades are phase two of a three-phase transformation of the arena. The $40 million will be used to:

  • Add donor suites
  • Add premium seating and hospitality
  • Improve the student experience
  • Enhance food, beverage, and merchandise concession areas
  • Upgrade the entrance and exterior
  • Make changes to the court and seating area

“The vision: to transform Timmons Arena into a first-class facility that will stand among the best in the NCAA and help to secure the Paladins’ place among the nation’s most competitive Division I teams,” the university shared in a statement.

Phase I , which is already complete, included upgrades to basketball offices, locker rooms, and film rooms.

Once Phase II is complete, the university will raise funds to build a dedicated practice facility for men’s and women’s basketball.
