Fluor Field’s economic impact is a home run

According to a study commissioned by VisitGreenvilleSC Fluor Field’s economic impact has reached almost $300 million over the last decade.

We have some number-ful news. The results are in from a study — commissioned by VisitGreenvilleSC, on Flour Field’s economic impact over the last decade. Let’s take a look at some of the numbers.

  • $288 million. That’s the total economic impact Flour Field + The Greenville Drive has had on our city.
  • 500,000. That’s how many visitors attend games and other events at the stadium per year.
  • 433. That’s how many business permits were applied for in the West End after the stadium opened.
  • $277 million. That’s how much the West End saw in business construction within a half-mile of the stadium.

Craig Brown, Greenville Drive owner and chairman, told the Upstate Business Journal, “As we look at Greenville today, we are proud of the role that Fluor Field has played, serving as the catalyst for the renaissance of the West End over the past 20 years.”

“WHEN I think about Greenville, South Carolina architecture this is exactly what comes to mind,” the post said.
