Speaking of venues... a huge one is coming to Orangeburg

Fox Carolina
It’s not Greenville but it’s close. Orangeburg County is turning some rural farm land, Yonder Field, into a 200+ acre amphitheater with a capacity of 30,000 people. It is expected to open in May, just in time for music festival season.

The Charleston company that owns Yonder Field said up to 15 (mostly country music) concerts will be held annually. The company projects the venue will contribute $40 million to $50 million to the local economy and employ 300 to 400 seasonal workers – a welcome addition to the community.

Fun fact: Walt Disney and Disney World wanted to locate in Santee, South Carolina “years and years ago.”
