South Street Partners has announced its purchase of Palmetto Bluff in a joint venture with real estate manager Henderson Park the largest transaction in SC history.

South Street is the largest master-planned community developer in the Southeast. The company now owns 3 major SC communities — Palmetto Bluff and The Cliffs — and is owner of the residential development of Kiawah Island which includes Kiawah Island Real Estate and Kiawah Island Club.

Housing demand in these communities has skyrocketed since the pandemic — both The Cliffs + Kiawah Island experienced record-breaking home sales in 2020 and a record number of new homes have broken ground.

South Street acquired Palmetto Bluff in 2021 — a 20k-acre property on the Intracoastal Waterway in SC. The area has 32 miles of riverfront, Southern-style neighborhoods, and a luxury golf course. New developments will include a second golf club and Anson Village.

Deets: Justin Bieber + Hailey Bieber married in Palmetto Bluff in Sept. 2019 at Montage Palmetto Bluff. Former Clemson QB Trevor Lawrencefirst pick of the 2021 NFL Draft for the Jacksonville Jaguars — married Marissa Mowry at the same hotel in April 2021.

South Street purchased The Cliffs in 2019, a collection of 7 private residential communities in the Western Carolina mountains. This 30k-acre zone has 7 golf courses, 7 wellness centers, an equestrian center + a marina.

Digs: 47 Ridge Pine Trail has 4 beds and 6.5 baths is up for sale in Arden and costs $3,495,000. 126 Waterfern Ct. has both mountain + waterfront views and the price tag reads $6.5 million.

South Street bought Kiawah Partners, Kiawah Island Club, and Kiawah Island Real Estate in 2013. This barrier island in the Lowcountry has 10 miles of shoreline with tennis, boating + golf venues. The 2012 and 2021 PGA Championships were even held at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

Digs: If you have $19 million lying around, check out the 2-acre 133 Flyway Dr. on Kiawah. 343 Surfsong Rd. is up for grabs for $11.5 million and boasts over 9,100 sq ft.
