DYK you can find the 7 wonders of the world right here in South Carolina?

Ok, so maybe not those 7 wonders, but the Palmetto State does have our own that are pretty sept-acular.

We won’t keep you wondering what they are much longer. In no particular order — Sassafras Mountain, Jocassee Gorges, Chattooga River, Congaree National Park, Edisto River, ACE Basin, and Bull Island. (Shoutout to the Upstate for being home to 3 of the 7.)

Starting on July 1, Tom Mullikinan environmental law attorney, former “National Geographic Expert,” and chair of Gov. Henry McMaster’s SC Floodwater Commission — is leading the second annual SC7 Expedition to highlight our state’s natural resources + raise awareness for local conservation efforts.

Tom and a core expedition team of ~15 other folks will be hitting all 7 SC wonders during the month of July along with 24 other stops that roughly follow along the Palmetto Trail.
