Shifting to a healthier work culture

Upstate Business Journal
“The business world needs a huge cultural shift when it comes to health,” said Sally Wills, executive director of LiveWell Greenville.

In the United States, seven out of 10 people are overweight or obese, an intimidating problem for businesses, hospitals, and employers. LiveWell Greenville brought up this statistic to corporate leaders at an executive summit last week with hope to make a big change in the way businesses view healthy work cultures.
LiveWell plans to contribute to a healthier workforce through partnering with the South Carolina Hospital Association to offer a corporate membership. The membership will give employees access to resources such as expert help through LiveWell At Work, Health Workplace Forums, SCHA’s Working Well strategy, and an online assessment tool.
