There are 84,000+ seniors right here in Greenville County. (That number would fill Clemson’s Death Valley and then some.)

To those of you who are 55 years young that might be reading this newsletter right now, mark your calendars, because Senior Action’s new Greenville headquarters with 30,000+ sqft of space is opening on Mon., May 3. This headquarters is a one of a kind facility in South Carolina.

The new building is located at 3715-K E. North St. (near the intersection of Howell Road, in the same parking lot as Bi-Lo) and is twice the size of the previous HQ that Senior Action had called home since 2007. Senior Action bought the entire shopping center where the new space is located for $7.6 million + intends to lease some of the other units to help fund their programming. Some of the highlights of the new spot include:

  • An expanded fitness studio with exercise equipment + rooms for health and wellness classes
  • A conference center that can seat up to 400 people
  • A fine arts center with music, art, and movement studios
  • Plenty of level, accessible parking
  • Potters’ wheels + a kiln

With the new building, they plan to add a lot of new programming in the coming months + extend evening hours.
