Mike Baur, the CEO of ScanSource, a leading technology product and solutions provider, needed an alternative to off-work site retreats (read: Not hotel conference rooms). He found a local solution, Endeavor in Downtown Greenville.

“In the past, I wouldn’t have thought there was a place in Greenville you could have a corporate retreat,” Baur said. “I thought you had to go up to Asheville or the Highlands. Now that we have Endeavor, it’s just so much better.”

Endeavor is a coworking space for creatives which provides an alternative to working from home, and having to rent stand-alone space for smaller organizations. But another use? Corporate partnerships to get away from the busy offices. ScanSource has used Endeavor for internal retreats, executive interviews, and to promote their city to visitors.

“I wanted them to be able to experience downtown, but not with us being their escort… it’s a cool way to get them to experience Greenville,” Baur said.

It’s no secret that Greenville is on the rise (it’s the fourth fastest growing city in the United States) and Baur wants to show it off.

New creative companies are also popping up all over the upstate and Endeavor provides a space (and bottomless coffee☕) to create and cultivate their brand. Everything ScanSource needed to connect, create, and collaborate was provided for by Endeavor which include:

Good Vibes: Endeavor + creative minds = magic ✨

“A really great place that to led great conversation, which led to creativity and innovation,” Baur said.

Rather than having a day-long work session at a hotel conference room with external consultants, they used the productive atmosphere of Endeavor to generate solutions and ideas.

With amazing views of Greenville’s downtown and Paris Mountain from the huge windows, the top-notch building design has helped ScanSource impress out-of-towners and brainstorm exciting new ideas.

The Perfect Spot: You know GVL has our ❤️

Forget Asheville and Charleston, downtown Greenville is the perfect place for a corporate getaway and can be found right in the middle of Main St. -- walking distance from the best restaurants Greenville has to offer.

The new Aloft hotel is Endeavor’s next-door neighbor, so it’s conveniently located for out-of-towners utilizing Endeavor’s space (who wouldn’t want to move to GVL after spending a day downtown?).

All the Amenities: coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee...

So you already know Endeavor is 100-percent the place for meetings, retreats, and anything else you can imagine, but what about everyday work? Endeavor is outfitted to equip whatever you could need (just look at alllllll these perks):

  • Community Workspaces
  • Business & Professional Consulting Resources
  • Catering & Supply Ordering
  • Gym membership
  • Conference Rooms
  • Community Kitchen/Café Area
  • Covered Bike Parking in City Garages
  • Super-secure hi-speed wifi
  • Private Telephone Room Access
  • Tech Support
  • Training Opportunities

Endeavor has reinvented the modern workspace for The Upstate. And this is only the beginning. Baur is excited for the future of ScanSource and future collaborations with Endeavor.

As Baur said, “This place is perfect.” and we would have to agree with you, Mike.
