Project Hope expands services to Spartanburg

1 in 68 children are currently affected by autism, according to the 2016 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring report.

As some of you may know, April is Autism Awareness Month. So it is totally appropriate that the Project Hope Foundation announced its new downtown Spartanburg location, which will provide therapeutic services to children with autism and help locals better understand the condition.

The Mary Black Foundation recently awarded $40,000 to Project Hope to renovate the 12,000-square-foot space at 200 Elford Court in Spartanburg, which should be ready by August for the start of the 2017-18 school year.
