Today, the GVLtoday team is enjoying some R&R in Asheville N.C. during our annual retreat with the rest of our 6AM City family. We are focusing on our product, process, and most importantly, our people. While the GVLtoday team is only 3 people, our extended team has grown to 24 strong. Our teams work together to provide the support and logistics that allow us to effectively publish a 100% localized version of this newsletter in a total of six southeastern cities at 6 a.m. Mon. – Fri. (hence the name 😏).

We currently publish in Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, S.C.; Asheville, N.C; Chattanooga, Tenn. + Lakeland F.L. This means we press send to over 165,000 email subscribers like you every morning. 📲

Like GVLtoday, each market is staffed by 3 locals that are embedded in our communities. We live, work and play here. But the other 21 of us, while they are not here with boots on the ground, are part of what we create every day.

We are learning together about the best ways to better engage our audience + to facilitate conversations so we can give you a better understanding of how you can participate in our city day in + day out.

We also believe that it is a two-way conversation. From the thousands of emails, comments, and content you share with us, together, we are making Greenville stronger + more connected.

Thank you for being engaged. For your time, interest, feedback, and for being a friend.

In the meantime, we’d like to thank our partners who make this possible every day. These local businesses are investing back into their cities by supporting the local journalism + conversations we bring you every day. Here’s to Lowes Foods, Hartness, YMCA of Greenville, HomeTrust Bank, Greenville Health System, CB Caine, Magnolia Park, Corley Plumbing Air Electric, Greenville Federal Credit Union, Metropolitan Arts Council, South State Bank, and Endeavor Greenville. 👏
