The next Kelly Clarkson… or William Hung?

Remember when American Idol ended (hint: last year)? Well, the popular singing show is back whether we like it or not.

The competition will be holding auditions on August 27th in Asheville (exact location TBD) and in Charleston on the 25th. Dust off your sheet music and rehearse your background story, you’re (maybe) going to Hollywood. Katy Perry is joining the judges’ table, with rumors of Carrie Underwood and Adam Lambert joining the pop star.

Register to audition here and remember: you can try out for The Voice, or America’s Got Talent, or X-Factor if you don’t get that golden ticket.
